Time has flown by, and tomorrow, Sept. 11, is already the deadline to take advantage of exclusive discounted hotel rates available through NCPA’s convention housing block.

Not only will pharmacists who register and book their housing by 5 p.m. CT tomorrow save on their Kansas City stay, they will also be entered into a drawing to win complimentary registration to all three of NCPA’s largest meetings in 2027, a value of nearly $2,800.

This year’s convention is focused on the “how” of it all. From our business education sessions beginning with “how,” to our “how-to” booths sprinkled throughout the Expo Hall, you will find an action plan to put into place the second you get back home to your pharmacy. Whether you need to find new ideas, get tips, or ask questions, there’ll be something for you and your entire team.

The House of Delegates is one of the best ways to be involved in shaping NCPA’s priorities. It’s where you can vote on NCPA officers and resolutions, and we’re looking for pharmacy owners and managers to join us. On Oct. 6, grab breakfast at 7:15 a.m. then join us at 8 a.m. in room 2501C at the Kansas City Convention Center to represent your state and make your voice heard. You can register now by contacting Casey McAllister at [email protected] or you can register on-site in Kansas City at the NCPA registration desk until 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct.5.

P.S.: Those who are unable to register in advance will also have the opportunity to register at the door on the day of.

After a full day at #NCPA2026, stop in at the iconic Kansas City distillery and speakeasy, Tom’s Town Distilling Co.

Named after Tom Pendergast, one of the country's most notorious political bosses, Tom’s Town pays tribute to a fascinating chapter in Kansas City history. Pendergast began his career as a saloon owner and later founded a wholesale liquor company. Under his leadership, Kansas City largely ignored Prohibition and earned the nickname “Paris of the Plains,” where jazz, nightlife, and spirits flowed freely.

When asked how he justified ignoring Prohibition, Pendergast famously replied, “The people are thirsty.”

Today, the people are still thirsty, and Tom’s Town continues to satisfy that thirst with its award-winning, house-made gin, vodka, and bourbon.
