With the end of the school year quickly approaching, we're about to have a lot of happy kiddos on our hands!! And why shouldn't they be? Summer is the time to truly enjoy being a kid. Unfortunately the reality is that many local children are burdened by responsibilities and fears that they shouldn't be tasked with carrying. We're so grateful for all the foster and kinship caregivers who have stepped in so these kids can just be kids. 

If you've ever considered becoming a foster parent, we offer a free class to learn more about it called, Explore Fostering. This class is zero pressure, just informational next steps and real talk about the joys and challenges of fostering with experienced foster parents.

This month, we were grateful to welcome two volunteer groups from Mastercard to serve at Foster Together! A special thank you goes to Mark Gill, who first connected with us through Benevity and took the lead in coordinating dates and organizing his coworkers to come serve together.

The groups spent time packing Welcome Kits for children who had recently been welcomed into new homes. Volunteers thoughtfully picked out clothes, shoes, toiletries, toys, and other essentials to help each child feel cared for during a time of transition. They also helped organize donations throughout the boutique, helping us keep the shop welcoming and ready for foster families and kinship caregivers.

We are so thankful for Mark and the entire Mastercard team for giving their time and hearts to support children and families in our community!

Foster/kinship families are invited to register for our Back To School Breakfast! Schedule a 15 minute school supply shopping appointment per family for children in foster/kinship care. The entire family can enjoy a complimentary breakfast and some family fun before or after your appointment. School supplies are limited to children in foster/kinship care only.

*Children receiving supplies MUST be in attendance at the event.

Registration runs June 15 through July 15.
