Dear Friend,
When we met Stella—sick, scared, and battling parvovirus—we already knew we were up against a fast-moving, devastating disease. She wasn’t the first puppy from a local Toronto community to come to us sick—and heartbreakingly, she wouldn’t be the last.
Parvovirus doesn’t wait. It spreads quickly and hits hard—and without immediate access to care, it can be fatal.
We did more than treat those puppies. We took action.
On April 5, our team launched a pop-up wellness clinic right in that neighbourhood. Armed with vaccines and supplies, we met pet families where they were—delivering the care they needed, before illness could strike. That day alone, 19 dogs were vaccinated.
This is the power of community-based care. This is what our donors make possible.
