It may be the spooky time of year for kids across St. Louis, but there was nothing scary about the way our community showed up for them at Foster Together’s inaugural gala this month!

In just one evening, we raised an astonishing $160,000+—a gift that will help us build a stronger foundation to support local children impacted by foster care for years to come. Thanks to our generous supporters, more children will have new beds where they can sleep soundly, new car seats to keep them safe on the road, clothing that fits the season and helps them feel confident, and essential items like toiletries, toys, and so much more.

To say I’m blown away by the way St. Louis showed up is an understatement. I’m humbled and deeply grateful to see so many people believe in our mission and invest in helping children know they are not forgotten. Because behind every dollar raised is a child who deserves to feel safe, supported, and cared for.

Perhaps that is one of the greatest gifts we can give a child: not the promise that life will always be easy, but the certainty that they will never have to face it alone.

That is Foster Together.

Our inaugural gala was truly an incredible night for Foster Together. We set an ambitious goal of $100,000, knowing it was within reach—but not knowing if we would actually get there. Not only did we surpass that goal, but most importantly, we sent a message to children in foster care across St. Louis that an entire community is standing beside them, cheering them on, and supporting them every step of the way.

From the dedicated volunteers who poured countless hours into making this night possible, to the generous sponsors, donors, and guests who showed up in ways we dared only to dream of, this organization thrives because of you. 

The impact of this one night will reach thousands of children and families in the years to come.

From bringing their staff and clients together for their third annual Volunteer Day to sponsoring our inaugural gala, they have shown an incredible commitment to both our St. Louis community and supporting local children impacted by foster care.

During their recent volunteer day, the team rolled up their sleeves to pack Welcome Kits for children entering foster care, serve as personal shoppers for kids and teens, and select clothing, toys, books, toiletries, and other essentials. There’s something incredibly special about choosing items for a child you may never meet. Every outfit selected, every toy picked out, and every bag packed sends a powerful message to a child entering a new and uncertain chapter: You matter. You are cared for. Your community is here for you.

What makes this partnership especially meaningful is the way Arch City Financial Advisors invites its clients to be part of the experience. By bringing people together to serve, they introduce others to Foster Together’s mission and give them an opportunity to see firsthand how our boutique helps children and families navigate some of life’s most challenging moments. As their team has shared, seeing the impact inside the boutique makes it easy to understand why they love introducing others to our work.
