As our nation celebrates 250 years since its founding, many of us have taken time to reflect on the incredible blessings that come with living in this country. The freedom to pursue our dreams, provide for our families, and look toward the future with hope is something many of us enjoy every day—often without giving it a second thought.
For far too many children in foster care, however, those same feelings of security, stability, and hope have been interrupted by circumstances beyond their control. Every child deserves the chance to simply be a kid—to feel safe, loved, and supported as they grow.
That's the crux of why Foster Together exists: to stand in the gap for children and the families who care for them, providing practical resources while restoring joy, hope, and a sense of normalcy during some of life's most difficult moments.
The need continues to grow, but so does the opportunity to make a meaningful difference. Whether you volunteer, give financially, share our mission with others, or simply stay informed by reading this newsletter, you are helping build a stronger community for children in foster care. If you're ready to take the next step, we'd love to help you find a place where your unique gifts and talents can make a lasting impact by clicking here.
Thanks for helping us let freedom and hope ring for local children! |

A huge thank you to the team from SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Pediatric Therapy for volunteering in our boutique over five Fridays in May and June! They served as personal shoppers, packing Welcome Kits for kids entering new foster homes, organized our boutique, and tackled projects that help keep our organization running smoothly. Their generosity and dedication have made such an impact and we were blown away by their attention to detail and willingness to serve however needed.
Special thanks to Jenny Allen, SSM therapist and daughter of our beloved weekly volunteer Sharon Owens, for coordinating the groups arranging the volunteer days with us! Jenny had this to say about their recent experience:
"SSM/Cardinal Glennon outpatient OT's, PT's, ST's and support staff were thrilled to play a part in Foster Together's outreach to Metro St. Louis families. We were prepared to volunteer our time in-store to gather items for local families with children in foster and kinship care. What we were not prepared for was how it impacted each of us to want to go beyond our service hours to continue to support Foster Together with additional hours, supplies, and clothing donations. Foster Together is doing some amazing things to help our local families and we are happy to have started a relationship with their growing outreach."
