Call for volunteers: Share your voice and find your place in CMS |
Have you considered applying your expertise to a Colorado Medical Society committee? There are positions open on CMS committees with three-year terms beginning in October. We continue to need physicians with experience in continuing medical education to volunteer for the Committee on Professional Education and Accreditation (CPEA).
We also need to fill the full roster of the new Membership Committee. This committee will work with staff on strategies and initiatives to enhance member engagement, drive membership growth and retention, and market the value of CMS.
There are several vacancies on local component society boards of directors and the CMS Board of Directors is seeking a new representative for Districts III/IV -- the southwest and southeast rural areas of the state. Plus, we're investigating the feasibility of a new mentorship program. Indicate your interest in being a mentor, mentee or both!
CMS encourages physicians of all walks of life, perspectives, backgrounds, practice settings, career stage and geographic location to join a committee and add your voice. You belong here; find your place in CMS and make an even bigger difference in medicine. All committee meetings are open for all CMS members to attend. View upcoming meetings at the bottom of this email and plan to "audit" one you might be interested in joining! |

CMS advocates for physician-led care | |
| |
When patients visit their physician, they can trust that every health decision is informed by years of rigorous education, clinical experience, and understanding of each patient’s unique needs. Physicians don’t just treat symptoms – they build lasting relationships based on trust, compassion, and commitment to patient well-being.
That’s why 85% of patients agree that physicians should be central to treatment decisions and care. Colorado Medical Society is advocating for health care decisions to stay between a physician and their patient. #YourCareisatOurCore
