With the support of donors and volunteers, we successfully completed another tax season. Noah*, a young adult and first-generation college student, enlisted our help in preparing his taxes. He shared that this was not his first time turning to Beverly Bootstraps for support. “Beverly Bootstraps helped me earn my diploma and gave me the confidence to keep moving forward,” Noah said. |

“Having people believe in me made a huge difference.” With the help of the Adult Education program and dedicated volunteer tutors, Noah earned his HiSET diploma a few years back. “That accomplishment opened the door for me to attend culinary school and pursue a career in the food industry.”
Today, Noah works at a local bakery, where he starts his day at 4:00 am, preparing baked goods for customers and settling into a steady routine he enjoys. “I have a career that I love. I worked so hard to graduate, and it helped a lot to be able to do my taxes with Beverly Bootstraps,” he shared.
During this tax season, 15 clients, including Noah, received education-related tax credits, totaling nearly $20,000 in savings. These credits provided meaningful financial relief to individuals and families working hard to invest in their education, build financial security, and create brighter futures.
Behind every return is a story like Noah’s, one of perseverance, growth, and stability. Supporters of Beverly Bootstraps ensure that individuals and families have access to the resources, guidance, and encouragement they need as they work toward independence.
Thanks to the continued support of our volunteers and donors, our V.I.T.A. program provided trusted tax preparation services to over 530 local individuals and families this season. More than $1 million in tax refunds were returned to these clients, helping them build stability and strengthen their financial futures. |

On display in April at the Thrift Shop was the 4th annual art event, The Frame at 198: Green. Talented local artists showcased a variety of mediums, creating a vibrant celebration of creativity and connection. Interpretations of the theme "Green" ranged from explorations of nature’s impact on urban spaces to abstract and realistic pieces inspired by local landscapes. We are grateful to the artists and community members who made this event such a success!

Thank you to the Beverly Beaver Boys - Gus, Reid, and Bodie, for continuing to make a difference in our community! After collecting more than 1,000 pounds of food in their last food drive, they returned with a new project focused on helping other active children their age. The boys assembled hygiene kits filled with essentials such as soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, and other personal care items for our Food Pantry.
