Nature is certainly in full bloom this time of year. Watching life spring from dormant plants is such a beautiful reminder of what we do as a foster community. Often children facing trauma may feel hopeless or stagnant, but the love lavished on them through foster and kinship families, reunifying moms and dads, and adoptive parents through the support of this Foster Together community means the difference between staying inside a protective shell, or flourishing through nurturing love and support.

We recently celebrated five years of our Safe Seats program - where we are able to purchase brand new car seats for families with new placements. We just purchased our 558th car seat as part of that program - investing over $62,500 in keeping children safe on the road and empowering families to say YES to that new child, knowing they have the ability to pick him or her up safely.

We are only able to jump in to meet these dire needs thanks to the generous support by this community. When we work together, we help the next generation experience love in a way they may never have before. Thank you, as always, for being a crucial part of this community.

Since joining Foster Together’s Board of Directors in September 2025, Robert Stephens has brought both professional expertise and a deeply personal passion to the mission. Introduced to the organization by Co-Chair Jackie Redmond, Bob felt an immediate connection—shaped by his own experience as a foster parent and his firsthand understanding of the challenges facing children and families in the foster care system.

It won’t take long after meeting him before “Robert” becomes “Bob.” He serves on both the Property Committee and Gala Committee, where his thoughtful leadership and willingness to jump in wherever needed have made a meaningful impact.

But what truly sets Bob apart is how naturally he shares the Foster Together story. Whether he’s catching up with a colleague or meeting someone new, Bob has a way of weaving our mission into everyday conversation—always shining a light on the lives being changed.

From hosting happy hours to connecting with his professional network—including members of the St. Louis legal community and local judges—Bob is constantly opening doors and inviting others into the work of Foster Together.

As he continues to champion this mission, Bob’s heart for service and dedication to children in foster care are helping expand our reach across the community. We are so grateful for the energy, advocacy, and care he brings—thank you, Bob, for being such an incredible supporter of children in foster care here in St. Louis.
