Could MultiPlan’s practices have cost your practice more than you realize? |
A major federal antitrust lawsuit against MultiPlan and several of the nation’s largest insurers is moving forward—and the implications for physicians and facilities could be significant. After a key court ruling, the case is now headed into discovery, with the potential for substantial damages under federal law.
What does this mean for Colorado physicians? And what options should you be considering?
Join the Colorado Medical Society for a members-only webinar on Thursday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m., featuring two attorneys leading the litigation, who will break down what’s happening, why this case matters, and how affected practices can evaluate their next steps. You’ll gain insight into MultiPlan’s role in out-of-network payments, recent legal developments, and why waiting for a class action may not be your best move.
The session concludes with an open Q&A, and all participation is confidential. Learn what’s at stake—and how much this case impacts you. |

World TB Day is Tuesday, March 24 |
World TB Day is Tuesday, March 24, a reminder that tuberculosis remains the world’s deadliest infectious disease, and it is affecting patients in Colorado. After a decade of steady decline, TB cases in the state have risen sharply, with 103 confirmed cases reported in 2025, a 32 percent increase from the year before.
In a timely article, "When diseases of the poor stop innovation," a Colorado medical student reflects on how TB can be overlooked in clinical settings and explores why outdated diagnostics, prolonged treatment regimens, and imprecise risk assessment continue to delay detection. The article challenges medical professionals to rethink assumptions, strengthen evaluation practices, and advocate for renewed investment in TB research and innovation. |

Central Line proposal currently accepting feedback on the Board action |
Members are invited to participate in the third round of voting on a policy proposal submitted through Central Line. This round asks members to weigh in on the Board’s action regarding the proposal. Voting closes Sunday, March 22, and results will be shared with the Board afterward. The question members are currently voting on is whether the CMS Board “got it right” in not adopting the proposed policy. In this round of voting, the votes mean: |
- Thumbs‑up = Yes, you agree with the Board’s decision not to adopt the proposal.
- Thumbs‑down = No, you do not agree with the Board’s decision and believe the Board should have taken another action (adoption of the proposal, referral to committee, etc.).
|
You should have received an email from Central Line <[email protected]> on March 9, with a reminder sent March 16, each containing your individualized link to vote and comment. If you did not receive your link, please reach out to [email protected]. You may also log in to cms.org/central-line to vote and provide feedback.
