There’s something about the holiday season that brings out the very best in people. Maybe it’s the twinkle lights, maybe it’s the baked goods, or maybe it’s simply the joy of showing up for one another. Whatever it is, we’re feeling it in a big way right now.
From overflowing winter clothing and food drives, to thoughtful treats dropped off for our youth, all of the presents you have purchased and stockings you have stuffed for our young adults and youth, to the many of you who bundled up and came in for tours just to see the work firsthand, your kindness has been everywhere! Our halls have been warmer, our shelves fuller, and our hearts incredibly grateful. You’ve reminded our youth, our veterans, and our women that this season is about more than giving gifts. It’s about being seen, supported, and cared for.
Thank you for making this time of year feel less hectic and a whole lot more hopeful! We hope you all have a truly magical holiday season! 🌟 |

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Christmas Bureau such a success! Because of your generosity, time, and care, thousands of families were able to experience a holiday filled with dignity, warmth, and hope.
This year marked the program’s 79th season, a remarkable reminder of what’s possible when a community consistently shows up for its neighbors. We are proud to be part of a tradition that has endured for generations, adapting and growing while keeping its heart firmly rooted in compassion. Your support, whether through volunteering, donating, or spreading the word, helped carry this legacy forward and ensured the spirit of the season reached those who needed it most.
Thank you for being part of something so meaningful and for helping keep this cherished tradition alive! |

Hope you voted for your favorite Brushes & Boughs tree! The display is full of creativity, talent, and a whole lot of holiday cheer, with each tree showcasing the imagination of local artists. Add in a day of festivities sponsored by Downtown Spokane, and it was truly a celebration worth seeing in person.
The trees are still on display, and we would love for you to stop by 818 W Riverside Ave to enjoy all the beautiful works of art. Huge thanks to Downtown Spokane for this festive event and to Innovia Foundation for sponsoring the prize for the winning tree! |

Welcome, VETS ON LACEY! It's time! |
|
|
We are thrilled to invite you to the open house for Vets on Lacey, a brand-new housing community dedicated to supporting low-income veterans!
Please join us as we celebrate this milestone and recognize you - our incredible partners, supporters, and leaders who are making this vision a reality! Even though we're making it brief, the event will take place outdoors, so we encourage everyone to bundle up! Following the short ceremony, guests are invited for an opportunity to tour the units. WHEN: Monday January 5th, 2pm
WHERE: 6208 N Lacey Spokane, 99208 HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Thanks to the incredible generosity of Spokane County and Numerica Credit Union, nearly everything needed to turn these units into welcoming homes is already in place. We are so close! To finish the spaces and make each apartment feel complete, we are still in need of a few essential items: small baking sets, pillow sets, and bedding sets, twelve of each. These simple comforts will greet veterans as they step into their new homes for the very first time. Veterans will begin moving in immediately after January 5, so the timing is important. If you would like to help make this transition warm and welcoming, please click the shopping link below. Items will be delivered directly to us and placed into the homes of veterans who have waited a long time for this moment. Thank you for helping turn a set of keys into a true home! |

✨NEW ADDRESS REMINDER ✨
As you know, we’ve officially moved! But. . . turns out not all of our mail got the same memo. If you’ve had something returned recently, you’re not alone. Some of our mail has gone on a trip back to your front door instead of being forwarded to us. We’re working on it and appreciate your patience while the USPS system catches up!
Thanks for sticking with us during this transition. Here’s our new address in case you need to resend us your well wishes! If you are sending donations directly through your financial institution, please remember to share with them as well. You all are the best! 1440 N Haven St Ste.3 Spokane, WA 99202 |

Your Compassion in Action! |

Because of you, our InReach case manager Avery helped her enroll in Spokane Community College’s Fire Science Technician Program - a rigorous path requiring not just courage, but specialized equipment and textbooks that can be out of reach for students facing homelessness.
Through your gifts, we purchased her tactical gear, boots, belt, and textbooks. Tools she needed to take her first step toward a future defined not by struggle, but by service.
She has maintained a 3.0 GPA and is absolutely loving her new future! ♥️ |
