2025 Year in Review: Your membership at work |
In a year defined by rapid change, rising pressures on medical practice, and pivotal decisions at the state Capitol, a constant remained strong: CMS brought physicians together. In 2025, the Colorado Medical Society put your membership to work—advocating for Colorado physicians and your patients, protecting the integrity of your practice, investing in physician leadership, and strengthening the organization that represents you.
This year in review highlights how your engagement impacted four critical pillars of our work: advocacy, education, belonging and organizational excellence. From high-stakes advocacy and expanded involvement opportunities, to strategic growth and strong stewardship of your professional society, we hope you see your values reflected in this work and your voice amplified through it. |

Central Line voting on Board action ends Dec. 21; have you voted if the Board "got it right"? |
Through Central Line, CMS members directly shape the policies that guide the Society's advocacy and priorities. Beginning in November, members were invited to review and provide feedback on a member-submitted policy proposal before it was considered by the CMS Board of Directors at its Dec. 5 meeting. The Board reviewed this input as part of its deliberations and voted.
The Board did not adopt this policy proposal and provided a statement as to why. As part of the Central Line process, the full membership now has the opportunity to vote on whether the Board made the right decision. This phase of Central Line voting closes Dec. 21. Members should use the individualized voting link emailed from [email protected] on Dec. 8 to take you directly to the Board's comment, the proposal and your ballot where you can cast a vote whether the Board "got it right." If a majority of members disagree with the Board's decision, the proposal goes back to the Board for reconsideration at the March meeting.
If you have not cast a vote yet, we encourage you to do so by following your individualized link, scrolling to the bottom of the page, and clicking "Provide Feedback." If you already cast a vote and want to change your vote or comment, you can do so by clicking "Update Your Vote." You can also review all feedback from each of the Central Line phases by clicking "Review Feedback."
If you have any questions or would like to request your link, please don't hesitate to reach out to [email protected] or respond to this email. |
