Since 2021, True North Aid’s A Good Night’s Sleep project has provided over 1072 bed sets to 40+ remote Indigenous communities, thanks to our generous partner, Silk & Snow.
Now, 206 more brand-new beds have been donated by Silk & Snow - valued at over $250,000! They are ready to ship to 8 northern communities in need. The only thing standing in the way is delivery. Each bed set includes: ✔️ A hybrid foam/coil mattress (twin, double, or queen) ✔️ A platform bed frame ✔️ A sheet set and pillowcases ✔️ A waterproof mattress protector Because many communities are fly-in only, the cost to deliver a single bed averages $145. Your support can make that delivery happen: 💙 $145 = 1 bed delivered 💙 $290 = 2 beds delivered 💙 $725 = 5 beds delivered
💙 $1,450 = 10 beds delivered Every donation, no matter the size, will help move these beds into bedrooms, giving children, elders, and families the dignity and comfort of a safe place to sleep. Please consider donating today. And if you can, share this message with your friends, family, or network.
Together, we can deliver A Good Night’s Sleep — community by community, bed by bed. |

| Back to School 2025 Update |
In September, True North Aid partnered with Indigenous Reflections and delivered over 2,000 backpack kits to 12 northern communities, helping students begin the school year with confidence, pride, and the necessary tools to start their school year off right!
In Fort Albany, we heard from teachers at Peetabeck Academy who volunteered their time after school to fill backpacks and deliver them to students. As one teacher shared: “The students…have taken great pride in receiving such gifts and are thrilled to have supplies for school and home that they can call their own.” We would like to extend our gratitude to our donors, partners, and volunteers for making this possible. |

Moosehide Tanning Workshops in Fort McPherson, NWT |
True North Aid supported moosehide tanning workshops in Teetł’it Zheh (Fort McPherson, NWT), bringing together 20 participants and their families to learn traditional skills, share stories, and strengthen community ties. Participants gained a deeper appreciation for their ancestors’ knowledge and resilience, leaving with completed or in-progress hides and a renewed sense of pride and connection. The workshops inspired many to continue teaching this tradition to future generations, ensuring it remains a vibrant part of community life.

Moon Time Connections Updates |
Moon Time Connections Saskatchewan is in the midst of its annual province-wide period product donation drive. With several donation drop-off locations throughout Saskatchewan, MTC SK is hoping to collect over 125,000 period products to be shipped to remote and northern Communities. A product drive in Saskatchewan in 2017 is where it all began for Moon Time Connections. Although the group has grown significantly since then, MTC proudly honours its roots and continues the tradition of product drives in each of its four chapters.
The MTC team has also been busy prepping its second-ever survey, hoping to add more First Nations, Inuit and Métis voices to the menstrual equity conversation and gain new insights into the unique needs of FNIM menstruators in remote and northern areas of the country. MTC's first survey resulted in a groundbreaking report that was shared with the Government of Canada and had a real impact in the fight for period equity. Data from the survey informed the creation of the Menstrual Equity Fund and ensured funding was specifically allocated to support Community.
