This year, 40 communities have reached out to True North Aid for back to school support, with over 9,000 students waiting for the school supplies they need to learn, grow, and thrive. We currently have the financial capacity to support 12 communities (approximately 2100 students). Let's close the gap.
💙 $50 provides a backpack filled with essential school supplies for one student. 📦 Each pack includes items like notebooks, pencils, crayons, and more - everything a child needs to succeed.

Wildfire Relief in Manitoba |
In July, True North Aid launched the Emergency Wildfire Relief Fund to support remote northern communities evacuated due to wildfires. Key partners were the Rotary Club of Winnipeg and Strini Reddy, whose deep connections with First Nations helped ensure aid reached those most affected in Winnipeg. Your donations helped to provide essentials like hygiene items, infant care supplies, bedding, cooking equipment, playpens, and toys.
Evacuees from Garden Hill, Wasagamack, St. Theresa Point, Tataskweyak, and Nisichawayasihk received timely support that brought comfort, dignity, and a reminder they were not alone. Heartfelt messages shared how much these contributions meant, from brightening children’s days with toys and art supplies to helping elders rest more comfortably.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this possible. Your generosity met urgent needs and lifted spirits in a time of great uncertainty. |

Over the past few months, MTC has been honoured to support fire evacuees in Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan who were displaced due to wildfires. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we provided not only menstrual products but also clothing, toys, and baby items to help meet urgent needs.
In August, we attended the annual Shoppers Foundation for Women’s Health Golf Tournament, where we shared MTC’s story with Shoppers vendors and foundation supporters.
Our BC team celebrated a significant milestone with the first-ever Victoria-based product drive—an incredible success thanks to the community’s support! We also formed an exciting new partnership with Revol Period Underwear.
Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to be hosting another Moon Time Auntie & Kin Training in September for the public, as well as a special training with the Women of the BC Métis Nation. Thank you for standing with us in this work! |

| Strini Reddy
This month, we want to recognize the incredible leadership of Strini Reddy from the Rotary Club of Winnipeg. A lifelong educator with years of experience working in remote First Nations communities, Strini brings a deep understanding of the challenges evacuees face when far from home. We're proud to have collaborated with Strini through various initiatives since 2020, including providing educational support, working on bed builds and collecting items through the One Pallet, One Community Initiatives.
As Chair of the Rotary’s Honouring Indigenous Peoples Committee, he played a pivotal role in coordinating wildfire relief to evacuees situated in Winnipeg. He helped to mobilize resources quickly, engaging local businesses and ensuring that support was tailored to each community’s needs. His compassion, cultural awareness, and tireless dedication embody the spirit of volunteerism, and we are grateful to have partnered with him to deliver aid when it mattered most.
