Preparing for a public campaign: We need your stories about the patient-physician relationship |
The Colorado Medical Society is preparing to launch a campaign to bolster patient trust in physicians, and we need your stories about positive patient experiences. Your stories will illustrate the importance of the physician/patient connection, and will only be shared with your permission before publication.
Follow this link to share your thoughts on the prompts below; none of the questions are required, so you can pick and choose what inspires you. |
-
Why did you choose to become a doctor?
- How do barriers to care such as red tape and bureaucracy impact your ability to provide the best care possible to patients?
- Can you talk about some of the highlights of your career?
- What motivated you to persevere through years of school and residency?
-
Can you think of an instance when quality time with a patient led to a crucial diagnosis?
- What do you think are the biggest misconceptions about the health care system?
- How do you think Covid changed the way patients and physicians communicate?

Join CDPHE and AAP-CO for a webinar on building trust and boosting MMR vaccine rates |
Measles outbreaks are surging nationally and around the world, with 1,088 U.S. cases reported by 33 jurisdictions and seven cases in Colorado as of May 30. This year also marks the first measles deaths in the U.S. since 2015. Vaccination rates in many Colorado communities fall well below the community immunity threshold needed for broad protection from measles.
As a health care provider, you continue to be the most trusted source of vaccine information for families, even for those who are questioning or delaying vaccination. Join subject matter experts from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and Colorado’s chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics on June 24 from 12-1 p.m. for a discussion about Colorado’s vaccination rates and strategies to increase vaccine confidence and demand, and how you can join these efforts with your practice.

Reminder: Your voice can influence CMS and AMA advocacy for physicians |
Colorado physicians are facing growing pressures — flat reimbursements, rising administrative burdens, and a system that’s eroding physician-patient trust. CMS and the AMA urgently request you speak up through a quick survey.
It takes less than 5 minutes but your response helps power our advocacy with lawmakers and regulators. Without strong participation, we can’t effectively fight for the changes physicians desperately need.
If you haven’t taken the survey yet, please do it now. We need as many Colorado physicians to respond as possible — including you. Once you complete the survey, please ask a colleague to do the same. Together, we can make your voice heard.
Optional: We value your time! After completing the survey, complete this form to be entered into a giveaway for a surprise gift from CMS. |
