Reminder: Help protect Medicaid – join a national texting campaign |
In its first day, more than 300,000 texts were sent to congressional legislators urging them to reject deep cuts to Medicaid. Advocates for the safety net program fear cuts would threaten care for veterans, seniors, rural hospitals, and working families. These changes would impact emergency care, preventative services, community clinics and the long-term stability of hospitals that serve the most vulnerable.
Join us in the Protect Our Healthcare Coalition by participating in the nationwide peer-to-peer texting campaign. |

Urge Colorado U.S. senators to support S. 1640 |
Due to Congressional inaction in 2024, physicians received yet another 2.83 percent Medicare payment cut starting Jan. 1, 2025, marking the fifth consecutive year of cuts. In fact, since 2001, when adjusted for inflation, Medicare physician payments have decreased by 33 percent. This is not sustainable and the American Medical Association (AMA) is leading in urging support for the "Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act" (S. 1640), companion legislation to H.R. 879, which was introduced earlier this year by Reps. Greg Murphy, MD (R-NC) and Jimmy Panetta (D-CA).
Join the thousands of physicians from across the country who have already taken action by contacting your senators to urge them to cosponsor the "Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act" (S. 1640). |
