Thanks to your support, formerly unhoused residents of St. Petersburg celebrated a new chapter in their lives during the move-in day at Innovare Apartments. Fifty affordable housing units, including those tailored for extremely low-income individuals, were transformed into welcoming homes through your generous contributions.

We celebrate the transformation of VOAF's Punta Gorda Veterans Village thanks to 400 Team Depot volunteers, The Home Depot Foundation, and Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay. These enhancements during National Rebuilding Month included new landscaping, painted interiors and exteriors, a gazebo and picnic areas, and a new flagpole, all improving the lives of veterans.

The grand opening of VOAF's Innovare marked a new beginning, providing 50 affordable homes to St. Petersburg's residents.

VOAF has achieved reaccreditation from the Joint Commission, reaffirming its status as a leading organization committed to high-quality care and services. 

It was a special evening when the first group of residents moved into VOAF's Thomas Pines. More than just spending their first night, it was the start of a new life for these families and individuals. Thomas Pines, with its 35 new affordable homes, is all about helping people and building a strong neighborhood.

One of the key highlights this year was the groundbreaking of VOAF's Space Coast Commons in Palm Bay. This important development promises to bring 31 units of affordable housing to the community, significantly contributing to the alleviation of local housing challenges.

A captivating book signing event with Sara Mossman Duncan, showcasing her journey as VOAF resident to an accomplished author. Attendees were treated to readings and personal stories, highlighting the transformative impact of VOAF's support and the power of community.

The Lake City Stand Down, hosted by VOAF, was a highlight of the year, providing essential services like meals, clothing, and healthcare to veterans. This event, held at the Florida National Guard Armory, showcased community support and gratitude for our nation's heroes.

The SHINE St. Petersburg Mural Festival recently featured Innovare's building as a canvas, with artist Stevie Shao transforming its exterior into a captivating work of art. The community awaited with anticipation as the once-plain facade became a testament to the transformative power of creativity. Now, the completed mural stands as a vibrant emblem of public art and community spirit in St. Petersburg.

10. Operation Tampa Strong at James Cole Village, hosted by The Mission Continues, was a heartening display of community service. Supported by the State of Qatar and the Bob Woodruff Foundation, volunteers improved neighborhood safety and aesthetics through diverse projects, from building fences to painting murals.
